ORKNEY VODKA IS HERE!

Orkney Vodka on the shore

After a longer than expected launch, our brand new vodka is now available in stores and online.



As a versatile spirit, vodka is commonly used in cocktails, but tonic drinks have become more popular in recent years.



Classic cocktail ideas for you to try at home!


Moscow Mule

Moscow Mule Orkney Vodka Cocktail

Ingredients

  • 50ml Orkney Vodka

  • crushed ice

  • 150-200ml ginger beer

  • few dashes of ginger bitters

  • sprig of mint and wedge of lime to serve


Method

  • STEP 1 - Pour the vodka into a metal mug, julep tin or tumbler. Load up ¾ full with crushed ice, then fill to the top with the ginger beer and stir gently to combine. Add a few dashes of ginger bitters. Serve with a sprig of mint to garnish and the lime to squeeze over.



 


Lemon Drop

Lemon Drop cocktail Orkney Vodka

Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp white caster sugar

  • zest of ½ a lemon

  • 50ml vodka

  • 25ml triple sec

  • 25ml lemon juice

  • handful of ice


Method

  • STEP 1 - Put 1 martini glass in the fridge to chill. Mix the white caster sugar with the finely grated zest of the lemon, and set aside.

  • STEP 2 - Pour the vodka into a cocktail shaker and add the triple sec, lemon juice and a handful of ice. Shake really well until the outside of the shaker feels cold.

  • STEP 3 - Dip the rim of the chilled glass in water, shake off the excess then dip into the sugar and lemon zest mix.

  • STEP 4 - Strain the contents of the shaker into your prepared glass and enjoy.


 


Appletini

Apples

Ingredients

  • 50ml Orkney Vodka

  • 50ml cloudy apple juice

  • 1 tsp lemon juice

  • 1 tsp maple syrup

  • a slice of apple, to serve


Method

  • STEP 1 - Shake the vodka, cloudy apple juice, lemon juice and maple syrup in an ice-filled shaker until the outside of the shaker feels very cold.

  • STEP 2 - Strain into a martini glass and garnish with a slice of apple.
